The Oakland Public Library Book Club (for Adults)

Do you enjoy reading thought provoking books, and discussing those books with a group of individuals? if so, consider joining the Oakland Public Library Book Club. This club meets on the third Tuesday of each month @1pm.  Joining is easy, just call or stop by the library to have the book ordered for you so you can get in on the discussion.

Favorite Foreign Films @OPL

Love foreign movies, or interested in broadening your horizons? Join us on the first Monday of each month @10am for Favorite Foreign Films. We screen a movie and follow it up with some coffee, snacks, and a good discussion. All in all, a great way to spend a Monday morning! You do not need to register for this event, just show up. The movie name will be posted on our events calendar in advance.

Get Active @OPL!

The Oakland Public Library provides free yoga & tai chi classes throughout the year. Each class runs 6 sessions, one class a week. Registration is required for each individual class, make sure to check out our EVENTS CALENDAR for which classes are coming up.

OPL hosts dozens of arts and crafts classes for adults all year long, as well as engaging and informational programs.  Registration is required for each event.
