November Programs at the Oakland Public Library

     The Oakland Public Library will host the sixth annual “Truck Day” in the Library’s Municipal Parking Lot on Saturday, November 2nd from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm.  Oakland’s own DPW, Fire Dept., First Aid Squad, and Police Dept. will bring vehicles to the event.  This is an opportunity for an up-close-and-personal look at vehicles seen around the community.  There will be ample opportunity for children to touch and explore each vehicle, including sitting behind the wheel!  “Truck Day” is a family program and children of all ages are invited to attend.  The celebration will take place rain or shine!  Refreshments will be offered by the Oakland Public Events Committee.  Registration is not required.

       A special unicorn Story Time & Craft will be offered on Saturday, November 9th from 10:30 to 11:30 am.  Oakland children, ages two to five, are invited to attend. Registration is not required.

       Chris Flynn will present his special blend of songs, musical instruments, and audience participation on Tuesday, November 12th from 10:30 to 11:15 am.  Oakland children, ages 2 & up, are invited to attend this “Magical Melodies” program with a caregiver.  “Jiggly Wiggly” with Miss Valerie will be held in the Library on Friday, December 6th from 10:30 to 11:15 am.  Oakland children, ages 2 & up, and their caregivers, will enjoy music and movement activities.  Both special music programs will be held downstairs in the Library’s meeting room.  Registration is not required.
