Museum Passes

The New Friends of the Oakland Public Library funds museum passes to the American Museum of Natural History and the Montclair Art Museum in order to expand the cultural opportunities open to Oakland residents, especially children. The Friends have delegated the administration of the program to the Oakland Public Library staff.  Please call Dianne at the Library for details at 201-337-3742.

American Museum of Natural History

Each $7 voucher entitles one person to general admission at the Museum, plus one special exhibition.  There is a maximum of 4 vouchers per patron.  Patrons will also receive the discounted Member's rate on additional special exhibition tickets they purchase that day.  For information about the Museum Click Here or call (212-769-5100).

Children's Museum of Manhattan - NEW Now Available!

  • Call ahead for availability and reserve a free pass good for four people to the Children's Museum of Manhattan.
  • Passes will go out for three days. Day one-pick up day, Day two-Museum Day, Day three return pass to library.
  • A $50.00 (cash or check) deposit is required and your Oakland Library Card for the use of one pass. The deposit is returned when the pass is returned on time.
